Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ⅓ cup honey or brown sugar
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley or green onions

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta
    Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Season the Chicken
    Toss chicken with Cajun seasoning, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook the Chicken
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 5–6 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make the Sauce
    In the same skillet, add butter and garlic. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
    Pour in cream, chicken broth, and honey. Simmer 4–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine
    Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth. Return chicken to skillet.
    Add pasta and toss to coat, using reserved pasta water if needed.
  6. Serve
    Garnish and serve hot.
