Ingredients

  • Seafood:
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 12 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning (divided)
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Garlic Cream Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken or seafood broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the Seafood
    Pat salmon and shrimp dry.
Toss shrimp with 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning.
Season salmon with remaining Cajun seasoning, paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook Salmon
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear salmon skin-side down for 4–5 minutes, flip, and cook 3–4 more minutes.
    Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook Shrimp
In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil.
Cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make Garlic Cream Sauce
Reduce heat to medium. Melt butter in the skillet.
Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds.
Stir in broth and heavy cream. Simmer 3–4 minutes.
Add Parmesan, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning. Stir until thickened.
  5. Combine
Return salmon and shrimp to the skillet. Spoon sauce over top.
Simmer 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Serve
Garnish with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Extra Heat: Add a splash of hot sauce.
  • Lighter Option: Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
  • Serve With: Rice, mashed potatoes, pasta, or roasted vegetables.
  • Don’t Overcook Shrimp: Remove as soon as they turn pink.
