Ingredients

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¾ cup fresh or frozen raspberries (do not thaw if frozen)

Instructions

  1. Cream the Butter and Sugars
In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients
Mix in egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture and mix just until combined.
  4. Fold in Mix-Ins
Gently fold in chocolate chips and raspberries, being careful not to crush the berries too much.
  5. Chill the Dough
Cover and refrigerate dough for 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
  6. Bake the Cookies
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set and centers are soft.
  7. Cool and Serve
Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Frozen raspberries help prevent bleeding and excess moisture.
  • Cookies will look slightly underbaked in the center—this keeps them soft and chewy.
  • Sprinkle tops with a little flaky sea salt for extra flavor.
