  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, sliced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup vegetable or chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta
    Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. Sauté Mushrooms
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms and cook 5–6 minutes until browned and tender.
  3. Add Aromatics
    Stir in garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, and red pepper flakes. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Make the Sauce
    Pour in cream and broth. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 4–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine
    Add cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.
  6. Serve
    Garnish with fresh herbs and extra Parmesan.
